蔡天文(Tony Cai)現(xiàn)任美國(guó)賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)沃頓商學(xué)院Daniel H. Silberberg講席教授及統(tǒng)計(jì)與數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)教授；賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)及計(jì)算科學(xué)教授；賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)院生物統(tǒng)計(jì)，流行病學(xué)及信息學(xué)系資深學(xué)者。2017-2020年任沃頓商學(xué)院副院長(zhǎng)。2006年當(dāng)選國(guó)際數(shù)理統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)士(IMS Fellow)。2008年獲得世界統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)考普斯獎(jiǎng)(COPSS Presidents' Award)，2017年任泛華統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)(ICSA)主席，2019年獲泛華統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)杰出成就獎(jiǎng)，2023年獲美國(guó)統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)Noether杰出學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)，2024年當(dāng)選美國(guó)科學(xué)促進(jìn)會(huì)會(huì)士(AAAS Fellow)并擔(dān)任國(guó)際數(shù)理統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)(IMS)主席。曾任國(guó)際統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)頂尖刊物統(tǒng)計(jì)年刊Annals of Statistics主編及JRSSB、JASA、AoS等多個(gè)權(quán)威學(xué)術(shù)期刊的編委會(huì)成員。
蔡教授的主要研究方向是大數(shù)據(jù)分析，包括機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)、高維統(tǒng)計(jì)、大規(guī)模統(tǒng)計(jì)推斷、統(tǒng)計(jì)決策論、函數(shù)數(shù)據(jù)分析、非參數(shù)函數(shù)估計(jì)以及在基因組與金融工程的應(yīng)用。他的研究得到美國(guó)國(guó)家科學(xué)基金會(huì)、美國(guó)國(guó)家衛(wèi)生研究院及沃頓商學(xué)院全球倡議基金的資助。

The world is undergoing a profound technological transformation, driven by the explosive growth of Big Data and advances in data-driven AI. At the heart of this revolution lie Statistics, Machine Learning, and AI—powerful tools that are reshaping how we work, live, and communicate. Data science is driving innovation across virtually every sector. This unprecedented shift brings immense opportunities for the field of Statistics, both in research and education. As the demand for data-driven insights grows, the role of statisticians and data scientists has become increasingly vital. In this talk, I will discuss the pressing challenges and exciting opportunities facing the field of Statistics in the Age of AI.
